‘Black Mirror’ season 4 revealed: New episodes from Jodie Foster and directors of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘American Gods’

On August 25, Netflix revealed the episode titles for “Black Mirror” season 4, as well as the casts and crews involved. Watch a sneak peak above, and scroll down for the episode details.

“Black Mirror” is an anthology series created and written by Charlie Brooker, who tells a new story in each episode examining the dark side of technology. The British program was picked up by Netflix in its third season, resulting in an Emmy breakthrough: three nominations including Best TV Movie and Best Movie/Mini Writing for the episode “San Junipero.” That season featured pedigreed talent including directors Joe Wright (“Atonement”) and Jakob Vebruggen (“London Spy,” “House of Cards”) and stars like Bryce Dallas Howard, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Kelly Macdonald.

The fourth season sounds just as impressive, with episodes directed by Oscar winning actress-turned-filmmaker Jodie Foster (“Orange is the New Black”), Toby Haynes (“Doctor Who,” “Sherlock”), David Slade (“Hannibal,” “American Gods”) and Emmy winner Tim Van Patten (“Game of Thrones,” “The Sopranos”), among others.

Appearing in front of the camera are actors including Rosemarie DeWitt, “Westworld” alum Jimmi Simpson, Emmy nominee Jesse Plemons, Tony nominee Cristin Milioti, and BAFTA nominee Andrea Riseborough, just to name a few.
