“Celebrity Apprentice” fans, did you correctly predict which two contestants were terminated by new host Arnold Schwarzenegger in Episode 3, titled “Candy For a Billionaire”? Based on our readers’ predictions, singer Boy George (7/4 odds) and reality TV star Porsha Williams (4/1 odds) had the best chances of heading home, but how did it all play out? After reading our recap below, hurry and make your “Celebrity Apprentice” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. It’s fun and easy, so start now by predicting who will be terminated next.
In the first hour, the teams were tasked with creating a four-page photo spread for Kawasaki motorcyles. The women chose “Real Housewives” star Kyle Richards as their project manager and the men went with TV host Carson Kressley. On Team Prima, Richards played it safe by using her teammates in the photo shoot posing on the motorcycles in downtown Los Angeles. And on Team Arete, Kressley went out of the box by posing naked and including a drag queen to show how inclusive the new motorcycle can be.
The Kawasaki execs named the men as the winners of the task, giving them their fourth victory in five tasks. The women battled it out in the boardroom, with Schwarzenegger harping on the fact that Brooke Burke-Charvet‘s photo didn’t stand out because her husband was too “macho” to sit on the back of the bike. Richards brought Burke-Charvet and Williams back to the boardroom with her, but the fact that Richards was once again responsible for a failed creative decision is what prompted Schwarzenegger to terminate her.
In the second task, Schwarzenegger decided to switch up the game by moving Laila Ali and Burke-Charvet to Team Arete, and putting Vince Neil, Chael Sonnen and Kressley on Team Prima. The project managers (Ricky Williams for Arete and Neil for Prima) had to create their own See’s celebrity candies in this task, with the winner being the team that makes the most money selling their creation at See’s Candies Shops. The teams immediately got to work fundraising, while Jon Lovitz and Sonnen traveled to Omaha to meet with Warren Buffett for the chance of winning an additional $25,000.
In the end, the teams were within $13,000 of each other, so Buffett’s choice wound up determining the winner. Since Buffett liked Team Prima’s dark chocolate brittle candy better, his $25,000 bonus went to Neil, ensuring that his charity won every single dollar raised by both teams — $769,000, to be exact. Since Lovitz only raised $500 and Ali created the candy that lost the bonus, Ricky Williams brought both back into the boardroom. But because of his poor showing, Schwarzenegger terminated Lovitz and told him to “get to the chopper.”
