The cast and crew of The CW’s “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” were on-hand for a panel discussion for prospective Emmy voters Wednesday night at the TV Academy’s Wolf Theater in North Hollywood. Unlike most Q&As, actors Rachel Bloom, Vincent Rodriguez III, Donna Lynne Champlin, Pete Gardner, Gabrielle Ruiz, David Hull, and Scott Michael Foster performed various songs from the musical series. Co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna, songwriter Jack Dolgen, and choreographer Kathryn Burns were also present.
Bloom won a Golden Globe for the show’s first season in 2015, and contended again in 2016. She also reaped Emmy bids in 2016 for Best Main Title Theme and Best Music and Lyrics for the song “Settle for Me” from season one. Burns took home a trophy from the TV Academy that year as well for Best Choreography.
Following the panel, attendees were treated to drinks and refreshments, as well as a take-home bag that included a CD soundtrack from the show.
