Corden and his “Late Late Show” team were the first winners of the night for “Carpool Karaoke” as Best Variety Special. He also won the last award of the evening with the Tony Awards prevailing as Best Special Class Program.
Bee and her “Full Frontal” staff won for their “Not the White House Correspondents Dinner” as Best Variety Special Writing.
DuVernay took home trophies for “13th” as Best Documentary or Nonfiction Special and Best Nonfiction Writing.
Bell is a first-time winner for “United Shades of America” as Best Unstructured Reality Program.
Remini also is a first-time Emmy champ for “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” as Best Informational Program.
Almost all categories at Saturday’s ceremony were for reality, nonfiction, documentary, and variety special categories.
