‘Dancing with the Stars’ elimination predictions: Drew Scott may be evicted from the competition

HGTV host Drew Scott may be evicted from “Dancing with the Stars” tonight. It’s not looking too good for him according to the predictions of our users. As of this writing he gets leading odds of 8/13, which translates to a 61% chance of elimination.

Scott ran into trouble last week on “Movie Night,”performing a paso doble inspired by action movies, which “went wrong” according to judge Bruno Tonioli and was “awkward” according to Len Goodman. Carrie Ann Inaba also pointed out mistakes, and all three of them gave Scot 7s. He got a slight boost from guest judge Shania Twain, who generously gave him a 9, but his total of 30 out of 40 wasn’t enough to keep him out of last place on the leaderboard after Nick Lachey was sent home last week. There’s no room for error at this stage of the competition.

But Scott wasn’t the only contestant who had a misstep. One week after getting a nearly perfect score on “Disney Night,” Frankie Muniz had difficulty with his animation-inspired jazz dance on “Movie Night,” and he finished only one point higher in the judges’ scores than Scott. But he might have had enough good will from past performances to inspire his fans to vote. Nevertheless, he’s vulnerable tonight with 7/1 odds, or a 13% chance of elimination.

Nikki Bella earned a high score on “Movie Night” — straight 9s for a total of 36 out of 40 — but in an especially competitive week that put her in the middle of the pack, tied for fourth place with Vanessa Lachey. The middle is a dangerous place to be: not a high enough score to guarantee safety, but not low enough to scare fans into aggressively voting. So Bella is third with 9/1 odds, or a 10% chance of elimination.
