‘Dancing with the Stars’ adds 2 more celebs to season 25 lineup: Another win for the Lachey family?

More news is being leaked about the season 25 celebrity cast for “Dancing with the Stars.” Just a few days after Entertainment Tonight revealed HGTV personality Drew Scott and WWE wrestler Nikki Bella would enter the ballroom, People announced the additions of husband-and-wife duo Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey. How well do you think they’ll perform?

Nick Lachey rose to fame as a member of the 1990s boy band 98 Degrees. After that he was the star of a hit reality show, “Newlyweds,” along with his first wife Jessica Simpson (they were married from 2002 to 2006). He has also continued to record music as a solo artist in addition to periodic TV appearances. His wife Vanessa (née Minnillo) won Miss Teen USA in 1998, and since then she has made numerous TV appearances as an actress and host, as well as serving as a correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight.”

The Lachey’s are the second married couple to compete on the show in the same season, following Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega in season 21: Alexa finished sixth, while Carlos was ousted in fourth place. But unlike the PenaVegas, the Lacheys have a strong “DWTS” pedigree: Nick’s brother Drew Lachey won the second season of the show back in 2006. Drew actually won with pro partner Cheryl Burke on her first season with the show. It was recently revealed that Burke would be competing again this season for the 20th time, so it would be fitting if she was paired with Drew’s big brother this time around.

What do you think of the Lacheys joining the show this year, and which pros do you think they’ll be paired with? Comment below, and discuss this and more with your fellow reality TV fans in our forums.
