‘Dancing with the Stars’ Poll: Should Normani Kordei, Rashad Jennings or David Ross win Mirror Ball Trophy?

On Monday night’s semifinals round of “Dancing with the Stars,” gymnast Simone Biles was unexpectedly eliminated after last week‘s judges scores were combined with viewer votes. For most of the season Biles had been our frontrunner to win the Mirror Ball Trophy, and when we polled our readers at the beginning of the season 30% of respondents said they were rooting for Biles to prevail. So now that she’s out of contention, who do you think deserves to win season 24? The final three are singer Normani Kordei, football star Rashad Jennings and baseball player David Ross. Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post.

Kordei has been the judges’ favorite by far, giving her their highest scores five times, far more than any other contestant this season. Before “DWTS” her claim to fame was as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, who have proven to be fan favorites at other publicly voted events like the MTV Video Music Awards and the American Music Awards. Would you like to see her take home another trophy for her collection?

Jennings comes from the NFL, which increases the pressure on him since football players have storied history on “DWTS.” Three other footballers have won the Mirror Ball Trophy — Emmitt Smith (season three), Hines Ward (season 12) and Donald Driver (season 14) — and several others have made the finals. Does Jennings rise to that standard?

Ross is the season’s biggest surprise. He’s the first “DWTS” competitor from the world of Major League Baseball, so no one knew what to expect from the World Series-winning catcher. He hasn’t been the strongest dancer in the competition, but he has proven to be one of the most popular, surviving on the strength of viewer votes even though he has generally received lower scores than competitors like Biles, Heather Morris and Nancy Kerrigan. Does he truly deserve his spot in the top three?
