‘Dancing with the Stars’ poll results: Lindsey Stirling gave the best performance in the season premiere

Lindsey Stirling gave the best performance during the season 25 premiere episode of “Dancing with the Stars.” That’s according to our readers we polled after the show returned on Monday night, September 18. Do you agree? Check out the complete results at the bottom of this post, and you can keep voting here.

It seemed “DWTS” producers had high hopes for Stirling from the beginning because they gave her a prime spot during the show. She performed last, so she already knew the standard that had been set by all of her competitors, and she would have been freshest in mind when viewers at home started voting for their favorites. She had the additional benefit of the fanfare for her pro partner Mark Ballas, who made a triumphant return after more than a year away from the series.

Stirling and Ballas performed a cha cha to “Don’t Worry” by Madcon featuring Ray Dalton, and it was the best of the night according to 37% of our respondents — and also “DWTS” judge Len Goodman, who called it “the dance of the night.” That result was a blowout, but there were another 17% of readers who thought Broadway star Jordan Fisher gave the performance of the night; he and his pro partner Lindsay Arnold danced a tango that shocked Carrie Ann Inaba with how good he was right out of the gate. Stirling and Fisher tied with the top judges’ score of the night (21 out of 30).

Ranked third in our poll was WWE wrestler Nikki Bella with 12% of the vote. Paralympian Victoria Arlen was fourth with 9%, and despite his low judges’ score HGTV host Drew Scott rounded out our top five with 6% of reader support.
