In just two days over Monday and Tuesday on “Dancing with the Stars,” the competition went from 13 contestants to 11 after the eliminations of “Shark Tank” entrepreneur Barbara Corcoran and pop star Debbie Gibson. The celebs performed twice during the two-night event — “Ballroom Night” and “Latin Night” — so week three of the competition, which will be “Guilty Pleasures Night,” will be a bit of a relief for the remaining competitors, who will only have to learn one new routine. After making it through two performances in two nights, this should be a piece of cake for the remaining celebs, right? Well, maybe for some more than others.
Broadway star Jordan Fisher, violinist Lindsey Stirling, and TV personality Vanessa Lachey have proven capable of whatever the show has thrown at them so far, while Frankie Muniz has been nothing short of a revelation, getting the highest judges’ score of the season so far for his “Latin Night” cha cha. But other celebrities are going into this week’s “Guilty” event with something to prove. WWE star Nikki Bella saw her scores dip on “Latin Night,” while singer Nick Lachey, NBA star Derek Fisher, and football player Terrell Owens are looking for a breakthrough that will finally move them up the leaderboard.
“Guilty Pleasures Night” will give the stars a chance to reveal their secret indulgences, including Vanessa Lachey’s love of karaoke, Muniz’s love of boy bands, Bella’s interest in romance novels, and Derek Fisher’s “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” fandom. That last one could be a good luck charm for Derek since “Fresh Prince” actor Alfonso Ribeiro won season 19 of “DWTS.”
