If there’s one thing our readers agree on, it’s that Jordan Fisher and Lindsey Stirling will place first and second on “Dancing with the Stars” this season. But they can’t agree on which order they’ll finish in. They have switched positions almost every week in our Mirror Ball Trophy predictions, and this week is no exception. After two weeks with Stirling in our top position Fisher has now retaken the lead — again.
As of this writing Fisher gets leading odds of 10/9, which translates to a 47% chance of winning the Mirror Ball Trophy. Those are his best odds yet this season. He has undoubtedly been helped by his performance on “Disney Night,” which earned him the first perfect score of the season for his “Moana”-inspired foxtrot: straight 10s from the judges for a total of 30 out of 30. After six episodes Fisher has now topped the leaderboard four times, which makes him the judges’ favorite contestant so far.
But Stirling is still breathing down his neck. She currently ranks second with 17/10 odds, or a 38% chance of winning the Mirror Ball, so she herself might just be one perfect routine away from rising back into first place. She’s certainly getting closer to that mark. On “Disney Night” she performed a foxtrot to “When You Wish Upon a Star” from “Pinocchio” that earned two 9s and a 10, but the 10 came from Len Goodman, who is typically the hardest judge to please.
