In a Gold Derby exclusive, we have learned the category placements of the key Emmy Awards contenders for A&E. The cable network has the final season of “Bates Motel,” a show garnering some of its best critical reviews ever for lead actor Freddie Highmore and supporting actress Vera Farmiga. Past reality contender “Born This Way” and Oscar-nominated documentary “Life Animated” are also part of their campaign.
