Welcome back, ‘Full Frontal’! Samantha Bee on how ‘presidential’ Donald Trump really is [WATCH]

“What the f*ck is wrong with you — question mark, exclamation point, rage emoji!” said Samantha Bee on “Full Frontal.” Her TBS political talk show returned on March 8, International Women’s Day, for her first new show since February 15, and there was a lot to catch up on — specifically, the news media’s rush to declare Donald Trump “presidential” after he delivered a comparatively sedate address to Congress on February 28. “If pundits set the bar for President Trump any lower, even Jeff Sessions won’t be able to walk under it without bumping his head … You don’t have to gush like he’s a toddler who just made a boom-boom on the big-boy potty.”

Of course, Trump did revert to his old ways within days of that speech. After controversy about Attorney General Sessions’s communications with Russia, Trump tweeted unsupported conspiracy theories from Breitbart News about his predecessor Barack Obama illegally wire-tapping him during the election. “Oh that’s new,” said Bee. “White guy shoots himself in the d*ck, tries to pin it on a black guy — when has that ever happened?”

Suffice it to say that Trump wasn’t a happy camper, and his staff bore the brunt of his unpredictable moods. Bee explained, “The president’s entire staff appears to treat him like a dangerously strong show chimp you have to bribe with Diet Pepsi so he won’t tear your face off … Are we going to have to eliminate another civil liberty every time the president is cranky and won’t go down for his nap?”
