Greater Works performs on ‘America’s Got Talent’ 2017 live show: Gospel choir delights by singing ‘Grease’ [WATCH]

Gospel choir Greater Works performed Tuesday night during the Live Show 3 episode of “America’s Got Talent” 2017. The first time the large company of church singers appeared on the “AGT” stage, they went viral with their rendition of “This Little Light of Mine.” This time around, the choir led by DaNell Daymon delighted with a cover of “You’re the One That I Want” from “Grease.” Watch Greater Works’ “Americas Got Talent” recap video above from NBC’s reality TV show.

This was perhaps the most energetic and spirited we’ve ever seen Greater Works, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that they rocked the house. All four “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel — jumped to their feet at the conclusion of their “Grease” performance. Host Tyra Banks even got excited by their number, shouting, “Whoa! It’s like a high school musical meets Hallelujah up in here.”

“That was electrifying! Thank you, Jesus!” exclaimed a very passionate Mel B. The other judges fell into place right behind her, with Klum noting, “The volume that you guys create in this room is just enormous.” Mandel praised, “I’ve never been to church, but I feel like I’ve been anointed. I feel like I’m born again.” And Cowell raved that it was “more than a performance. It turned into a spectacle. It was a show.”
