‘Hell’s Kitchen All Stars’ episode 3 recap: The Red Team desperately needs a victory — did they get one?

The third episode of “Hell’s Kitchen All Stars” began with a quest for redemption. After a disastrous dinner service last week, the Red Team desperately needed a win, and they got one. Problem is, it had nothing to do with food. Hoping to test their dexterity, Chef Gordon Ramsay challenged the contestants to a cup stacking contest, and the ladies easily trounced the men for the only time in the episode’s entirety. Make your “Hell’s Kitchen: All Stars” predictions for a chance to top our famous leaderboards. Having proved they could create a tower of cups, the cooks where then tasked with creating a tower of seafood. Despite being awarded a 30 second head-start for their previous victory, the Red Team still couldn’t complete the task before the Blue Team.

To celebrate their victory, the Blue Team was treated to some tasty shellfish and a game of soccer on the beach, while the Red Team was forced to eat some nasty fish stew. Always the troublemaker, Elise Harris refused to take a bite, and lied about it to Chef Christina Wilson. Not to be played the fool, Chef Christina smelled everyone’s breath, and watched as Elise took a bite of the vile concoction.

Next up was dinner service, and once again the Red Team struggled while the Blue Team triumphed. Ashley Nickell was sent out of the kitchen for checking her watch, while Barbie Marshall and Robyn Almodovar continued their longstanding feud while serving up cold lamb chops and fish respectively. The three of them, along with Manda Palomino, where all nominated for elimination after being banished once again. In the end, Chef Ramsay chose to send Ashley home, sparing the others for one more week in “Hell’s Kitchen.”
