‘Iron Fist’ is the best Netflix Marvel TV show, say 55% of readers — Sorry, ‘Daredevil, ‘Jessica Jones’ & ‘Luke Cage’

Netflix’s latest Marvel TV show, “Iron Fist,” is the best so far, say 55% of fans who voted in last week’s poll. Finn Jones stars in the drama series as martial arts guru Danny Rand, who has the unique ability to call upon the power of the Iron Fist. The comic book adaptation premiered March 17, 2017 on Netflix, the streaming giant’s fourth such Marvel show after “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones” and “Luke Cage.”

Jones will next be seen playing Iron Fist in Netflix’s crossover Marvel series “The Defenders,” which has debuted a trailer in anticipation of its premiere. He’ll join the stars of the other trio of shows in a sort of “Avengers”-for-TV miniseries that will surely be a huge water cooler event when it debuts August 18, 2017.

Coming in next at 25% of the vote is “Daredevil.” This is the Marvel entry that started it all for Netflix on April 10, 2015. The drama follows blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) whose other senses are super-humanly enhanced, so he fights crime by day and is a vigilante by night.

“Jessica Jones” is in third place with 14% support. Krysten Ritter stars as a former superhero who decides to reboot her life by becoming a private investigator, with dramatic results. So far “Jessica Jones” is Netflix’s only Marvel show to win an Emmy, taking home Best Main Title Theme Music in 2016.

Rounding out the four Marvel TV shows on Netflix is “Luke Cage” with only 6% of poll respondents naming it their favorite. Given super strength and durability by a sabotaged experiment, a wrongly accused man (Mike Colter) escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.
