During Mark Jansen‘s “Big Brother” 19 exit interview with Julie Chen, not only did he admit that he played a “poor game,” but he also praised his arch nemesis in the house, Josh Martinez. “Truthfully with Josh, he is a great guy,” Mark confessed about the man he feuded with on a weekly basis. “For somebody who runs his mouth that much, he doesn’t back down. And he wasn’t wrong. All of the things he said to me, he was not wrong. Except he’s the one that turned on me first. But I did throw a drink in his face!” Mark then added, “I came in to play a game. I played a poor game. But with the people, it was nothing personal. Josh really is a great guy. He turned it around. I mean, you guys saw him the first week or two.”
Another hot topic of conversation was whether Mark believed that he gave up his game in order to have a showmance with Elena Davies, who was ousted in last week’s double eviction along with Cody Nickson. “I’m an emotional guy, I’m a big teddy bear,” he revealed about why he cried so much after Elena left the game. Sidestepping the showmance question, Mark said, “I was very naive to the game. It’s harder than it looks.”
Also in his exit interview, Mark chatted about how Elena originally “caught my eye” at the start of the season, how Dominique Cooper‘s elimination was the beginning of his downfall, and why he was seen as a flip-flopper in the house. “I wanted to work with Cody and Jessica Graf so bad and I wanted the power,” he readily admitted. “I didn’t like the other side of the house. They’re just floaters who came together.”
Mark joined Cody and Elena as the first three jurors of Season 19. Now, only eight players remain in the “Big Brother” house: Josh, Matthew Clines, Paul Abrahamian, Christmas Abbott, Raven Walton, Alex Ow, Jason Dent and Kevin Schlehuber. Who do YOU think will join the “Big Brother” winners list?
