Merrick Hanna performs on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals 2: Eleven-year-old dances to Jon Bellion’s ‘iRobot’ [WATCH]

Eleven-year-old dancer Merrick Hanna performed Tuesday night during the Semifinals 2 episode of “America’s Got Talent” 2017. Back in the Quarterfinals round Hanna was declared to be an “overlooked” contestant on Season 12. Did he continue showing the judges, and America, why he deserves to be in the Finals with his latest dance that was set to Jon Bellion‘s “iRobot”? Watch Merrick Hanna’s “Americas Got Talent” recap video above from NBC’s reality TV show.

While three of the “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel — remained in their seats, Mel B jumped up and gave Hanna a rousing standing ovation. This is the first time the judges didn’t overtly worship Hanna for his performance, though they still showered him with positive feedback.

Klum remarked that Hanna did a great job of performing all alone, without the benefit of having backup dancers. Cowell said that Hanna is a “fun guy” and he hopes he makes it to the Finals. Mandel pointed out the fact that Hanna uses dance as a form of expression, after never expressing himself as a child. Unfortunately, time ran out before Mel B got to say anything, but her standing ovation spoke volumes.
