Earlier this month we asked you to name your favorite of all 17 Pixar movies, and there was a perfect tie for the top spot between “Toy Story 3” (2010) and “Up” (2009) at 16% each. You know what that means, right? It’s time for a showdown! In our new poll below, vote for whether “Toy Story 3” or “Up” is your favorite Pixar film.
“Up” is the story of a widower (Ed Asner) who’s facing eviction from his lifelong home, so he attaches an enormous amount of balloons to his house to make it fly off into the sky. He unwittingly also takes an ambitious boy scout along with him on the journey. The film earned five Oscar nominations and took home two trophies: Best Animated Feature and Best Score (Michael Giacchino). It lost its bids for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Sound Editing.
“Toy Story 3” won a pair of Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Song (“We Belong Together”). It was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Sound Editing. It’s the third film in the wildly successful franchise about Andy’s adventurous toys, only this time he’s all grown up and heading out to college. The film stars Tom Hanks as cowboy Woody and Tim Allen as spaceman Buzz Lightyear.
After voting in our Pixar poll below, be sure to sound off with other fans in our world-famous movie forums. Pixar’s next feature will be “Cars 3” on June 16, 2017 and then “Coco” will be released in theaters November 22, 2017.
