Preacher Lawson performs on ‘America’s Got Talent’ 2017 live show: Comedian wows Howie Mandel [WATCH]

Comedian Preacher Lawson performed Tuesday night on the first live show of “America’s Got Talent” 2017, and earned raves from the panel’s in-house comic Howie Mandel. “Preacher, you are great. I need to see you go all the way to the finals,” declared Mandel after Lawson’s high-energy set. “You are funny and electric and a star before you even open your mouth.” Watch Preacher Lawson’ live performance above.

Mandel hinted about Lawson’s life not being “what it was,” a reference to his pre-taped piece in which Lawson opened up about his personal struggles including even being homeless at one point. “When you walk out here, we love you,” added Mandel. “There’s electricity. I’m so happy to be a witness to what’s happening with you. You’re amazing.”

The other judges echoed Mandel’s sentiments, with Mel B noting, “I just adore you, I really do.” Heidi Klum said she didn’t love the jokes as much this time around, but that, “I love your face [and] voice.” And Simon Cowell admitted that Lawson should be the star of his own hit TV show because, “I think you’re that good.”
