Is Rachel Lindsay your favorite ‘The Bachelorette’ to star on ABC’s reality show? Vote now! [POLL]

After coming in third place last season on “The Bachelor,” Rachel Lindsay has been tapped to be the star of “The Bachelorette” Season 13, which debuts Monday on ABC. The 31-year-old attorney from Dallas, Texas will have her pick from 31 single gentlemen, only one of whom will be the winner at the end of the season. Is Rachel your favorite “Bachelorette” so far? Vote in our poll below after clicking through our photo gallery above to remind yourself of every “Bachelorette” in the show’s history.

As ABC reveals in its press release, “Rachel turns to her close friends from last season on ‘The Bachelor’ — Alexis, Astrid, Corinne, Jasmine, Kristina, Raven and Whitney — to discuss her hopes and dreams for her upcoming adventure. After her gal squad offers some good advice, she is ready to meet her men.” Longtime host Chris Harrison returns for another go-around this season.

The alphabet also confirms, “Eight disappointed men are left without a rose as Rachel makes her first eliminations of the season.” Yes, that means by the end of the first episode only 23 bachelors will remain to try to win over Rachel’s heart, so they will have to go out of their way to make a first impression. As such, one contestant will pull out a sledgehammer to “break the ice,” while another will waddle in wearing a penguin costume.

ABCs “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” franchise joined “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race,” “Dancing with the Stars” and “American Idol” as part of the reality show boom of the early 2000s. But unlike those shows, the popular “Bachelor” franchise has yet to receive a nomination at the Emmy Awards. The show has been completely skunked both above and below the line, including host Harrison. However, the ratings and buzz ABC enjoys every season when “The Bachelorette” airs is no doubt worth more than any single trophy.
