As of last week, Farrah Moan is now the only queen on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 9 to place among the bottom three on three different challenges, a record that has predictors giving her strong 4/1 odds of being the next elimination. This is the third week in a row we’ve given Farrah leading elimination odds — can she dodge RuPaul Charles‘ bullet once again to remain in the competition? Before updating your predictions in our weekly “RuPaul’s Drag Race” event read my analysis of how Farrah and the other queens are faring in the competition ahead of this week’s episode, “9021-HO.”
Farrah’s fate in the competition likely rests on whether or not she will have to lip synch for her life this week. Two weeks ago she performed against Cynthia Lee Fontaine, but both were spared when Eureka was removed instead due to injury. Last week, Cynthia was eliminated while Farrah was a low scorer but not in the bottom two. With Cynthia already gone, Farrah is the most vulnerable queen left.
Which queen is also likely to lip synch for her life and face elimination? Well, despite winning her first challenge last week, Alexis Michelle could be under pressure — she has 11/2 odds of elimination. Next in line is Peppermint with 8/1 odds — she was underestimated at the beginning of the season, often the most predicted to go home, but has since rebounded for the last couple weeks.
At the other end of the spectrum, Valentina continues to lead our predictions as the season’s likely winner with 23/10 odds. Her closest competitors are still Shea Coulee (3/1 odds) and Sasha Velour (6/1 odds). Shea is the season’s winningest queen with two to her name while Valentina and Sasha each have one.
Shea and Sasha won together for their strong performances in the morning talk show challenge and were equally hilarious in last week’s “Snatch Game” episode. That’s why both are likely to excel again for this week’s similarly comedic challenge, acting in a classic 1990s high-school drama. Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling of “90210” fame are slated to appear as guest judges in this week’s episode.
