‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 9 premiere date set for March 24 on new network VH1

Hosted by Emmy winner RuPaul Charles, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” announced via Twitter that its ninth season will premiere on Friday, March 24 on VH1 at 8 pm ET. Past seasons of the hit show aired on Logo, but for the first time it will shift to a new cable network. VH1 is set to broadcast the entire season while Logo takes over encore episode duties. This season we’re joining in on the fun and have created a weekly predictions contest where you can guess how each of the 13 queens will place — it’s fun and easy so be sure to make your predictions ahead of the premiere.

Last year the TV academy finally recognized series host RuPaul for his own “charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent” by awarding him the 2016 Emmy for Best Reality Host. RuPaul serves on the show’s judging panel alongside close friend Michelle Visage and a revolving door of celebrity guests including Ross Matthews, Carson Kressley and Lady Gaga who is set to appear in the upcoming season premiere.
