SAG Awards predictions: Emma Stone has best odds – Make YOUR picks now!

La La Land” superstar Emma Stone has the best odds (4/5) to beat her toughest rival (Natalie Portman, “Jackie” with 8 to 5 odds) for Best Actress at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, according to predictions at Gold Derby. And there’s a lot at stake. Seven out of the past 10 years, the SAG victor went on to win the Oscar.

In the race for Best Actor, Denzel Washington (“Fences”) holds a guild IOU. Even though he’s earned two Oscars (“Training Day,” “Glory”), he’s never won a SAG Award and now is in second place with 9-to-2 odds behind frontrunner Casey Affleck (“Manchester by the Sea,” 1 to 3 odds).

In the TV races, Julia Louis-Dreyfus could tie a SAG Awards record if she wins Best Comedy Actress and “Veep” prevails as Best TV Comedy Ensemble, which Gold Derby predicts. That’ll bring her tally to eight SAG Awards, tying her with all-time SAG champs Julianna Margulies (“The Good Wife”) and Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”).
