Margot Robbie (October 1, 2016)
Margot Robbie hosted the debut show on October 1 after a star-making turn in the summer movie “Suicide Squad.” Her fact-check monologue was followed by a news report with her as a host woman paired with an unattractive husband, a wild librarian short film, “Celebrity Family Feud” (playing Ivanka Trump), a “Scooby-Doo” parody, and an actress panel (playing Keira Knightley).

Emily Blunt (October 15, 2016)
Emily Blunt was the third straight rookie host on October 15 while promoting her new film “The Girl on the Train.” Her “Get Happy” monologue was followed by an escort sketch, a Beyonce music video with the Trumps, film festival parody, Burger King drive-thru window, an indie film with her as “The Sink,” a glitchy robot, “The Great British Bake-Off,” and a bickering group of hamsters.

Kristen Wiig (November 19, 2016)
Former cast member Kristen Wiig returned to host the pre-Thanksgiving episode. Her sketches for the show included a Thanksgiving song monologue, “Secret Word” game show, QVC audition, “Anderson Cooper 360,” Thanksgiving parade floats, the Cat Lady show, and Sue the Surprise Lady.

Emma Stone (December 3, 2016)
Emma Stone hosted for the third time in her career in early December. Sketches in which she appeared were: A reunion-related monologue, high school theater show, “Christmas Candle” video, high school posters come to life, “Wells for Boys” film short, immigrant cleaning crew with holiday songs, Paley Festival film actresses panel, and Mary in the manger.

Felicity Jones (January 14, 2017)
Felicity Jones hosted the first episode of the 2017 calendar year. She began with a “Star Wars”-related monologue and then had sketches as part of “The Bachelor” (Beard Hunk), movie interview, corporate retreat, theatre donor, “The Princess and the Curse,” and Susan B. Anthony tour.

Kristen Stewart (February 4, 2017)
Kristen Stewart had her first SNL hosting assignment in early February. After a monologue scolding Donald Trump for past tweets about her, she had sketches about dry Fridays, Totino’s Super Bowl commercial, Sean Spicer press conference, ‘Celebrity Family Feud,’ short film ‘Meet Cute,’ and Willy Wonka’s golden ticket.

Octavia Spencer (March 4, 2017)
Oscar winner Octavia Spencer hosted the ‘SNL’ episode for March 4, 2017. She opened the show with her ‘The Help’ character meeting Forrest Gump/Jeff Sessions and followed with a monologue discussing the most recent Oscar ceremony, drug company hearing, ‘Zoo-opolis’ voice actors, ‘Youngblood’ film short, Sticky Bun training, wine bar, Chocolate Man, and Spencer’s Gifts.

Scarlett Johansson (March 11, 2017)
Scarlett Johansson joined the 5-timers club in mid-March. After her monologue, her sketches included as a reporter interviewing a zoo ‘pornographer,’ Cherry Grove commercial, dog translator, Olive Garden commercial shoot, perfume ad as Ivanka Trump, Shud the mermaid, ninja rescue, sketch for women, and funeral service.

Melissa McCarthy (May 13, 2017)
Melissa McCarthy joined the five-timers club as host for Mother’s Day weekend. Her opening monologue featured a backstage tour followed by her sketches featuring her as a game show contestant (pie face!), the return of Sean Spicer, an older actress on the Women in Film panel, neighborhood moms, and an angry lady in film logos.
