Emmy submissions: Showtime category placements for ‘Billions,’ ‘Homeland,’ ‘Shameless’ and more

In a Gold Derby exclusive, we have learned the category placements of the key Emmy Awards contenders for Showtime. The premium network has returning Emmy nominated shows such as “Homeland” (Claire Danes), “Ray Donovan” (Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight), and “Shameless” (William H. Macy) among the 2017 contenders.

Below, the list of Showtime lead, supporting and guest submissions for drama series, comedy series, and limited series “Guerrilla” (with supporting actor Idris Elba, a past Emmy nominee). More names might be added by the network before final Emmy paperwork deadlines. Also note that performers not included on this list may well be submitted by their personal reps.

  1. Eva Green and Emmy Rossum. That’s it. If those two won’t make the cut AGAIN, I won’t care for the whole thing.

  2. I think Rupert Friend has a slim chance, but he really was incredible this season and totally deserves it. There’s just steep competition.
