In our recent “Survivor: Game Changers” exit interview, Sierra Thomas called Andrea Boehlke the biggest threat to win Season 34. That might be the reason why she leads this week’s predictions as the most likely to be eliminated with 9/5 odds. But she’s not the only one in danger because this week two players will be voted out. Next in line for elimination is Brad Culpepper who we give 2/1 odds. At one point Brad was the most powerful person in the game, leading a seemingly unstoppable Mana tribe alliance with Sierra. Below, I take a closer look at how Andrea and Brad are playing so far and guess how their games could come to an end. Read my analysis and then update your “Survivor 34” predictions in our weekly event.
Andrea’s name has been consistently mentioned as a potential vote since the merge, beginning with Zeke Smith‘s premature betrayal of their alliance. In the third merged tribal council she was expected to go home, but Sarah Lacina saved her, voting out Debbie Wanner instead. Since then Sarah and Andrea have worked together to oust both Zeke and Sierra, two players Sarah fully trusted. Those votes could actually be what put in motion a move by Sarah to finally turn on Andrea this week — Sarah knows that in order to win in front of a jury she’ll need to prove that she was calling shots rather than following orders. As of now, Andrea has claim to the decision-making and can count both Aubry Bracco and Cirie Fields as allies likely to choose her over Sarah, a fact Sarah likely sees.
Brad is similarly a threat to Sarah’s game, having been in a position of power over Sarah when they worked together as well as having won individual immunity. But with only eight players left, for Sarah to make a move against Andrea she’ll need the help of Brad. The two of them can join with Troyzan Robertson, Tai Trang and Michaela Bradshaw for a 5-3 advantage over Andrea in the episode’s first vote. Once Andrea is gone, Sarah and Michaela could then turn on Brad, the next biggest target, using Aubry and Cirie to have an easy majority over him and the other two men.
It’s important to remember, however, that there are many advantages floating around the game waiting to be played. Sarah’s legacy advantage is good for immunity at the final 6 tribal council while Troyzan’s one and Tai’s two idols are good for use in the next three tribal councils. Any one of those four idols could be used to in movements against Andrea, Brad or someone else. Sarah also has another advantage that allows her to cancel someone else’s vote. With the amount of variables these advantages add to the game, any result is possible this week and in next week’s season finale so all we can be sure of is that it’s going to be an exciting finish to a season that has changed the way the game is played (wink wink).
