At the end of the “Survivor: Game Changers” reunion, Jeff Probst revealed that the landmark 35th season of the show will be titled “Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers.” Filmed in Fiji, this season will be composed of all-new castaways — a stark difference from the recently concluded cycle that pitted former legends against each other. Watch the Season 35 preview trailer above.
In the two-minute preview, Probst explains via narration that the three tribes will be divided “based on the positive traits most often associated with them by others.” In other words, the Heroes are “heralded for their courage, their achievements and ideals for which they stand,” the Healers “receive gratitude for their acts of service and helping people heal their emotional and physical pain,” while the Hustlers are “respected for their work ethic — get it done no matter what, they stop at nothing to achieve their goals.”
Two members from each tribe are introduced to the audience as representations of their groups: Ben the marine and Ashley the lifeguard from the Heroes, Mike the surgeon and Desi the physical therapist from the Healers, and Ali the personal assistant and Ryan the bellhop from the Hustlers. “Three very different approaches to life will once again be tested,” Probst concludes at the end of the promo, “in the greatest social experiment on television.”
Host/producer Jeff Probst is back for the 35th season, because what would the show be without Jeff? As always, only one castaway will have what it takes to outwit, outlast and outplay the others and win the $1 million prize. “Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers” will air Wednesday nights this fall on CBS at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. Gold Derby will begin our weekly predictions event as soon as CBS announces the new castaways.
