“This is ‘Survivor: Ghost Island.’ The graveyard for bad ‘Survivor’ decisions,” teases host Jeff Probst in the preview trailer for Season 36. After 17 years and 35 seasons on the air, there have been quite a lot of disastrous game moves, and the new season, due out this spring on CBS, will take advantage of that aspect. What do you think of the concept behind “Survivor: Ghost Island”? Watch the promo video above, and then sound off down in the comments section.
“For the first time ever, a new group of players will have the chance to reverse the curse of some of the worst decisions in ‘Survivor’ history,” Probst continues. “An entire season centered around the bad decisions of past players … using the actual haunted advantages and idols that did them in. Will these new players learn from the mistakes of others? Or will the past come back to haunt again? Join us this spring for ‘Survivor: Ghost Island.'”
Some of the infamous game moves highlighted in the clip package include: James Clement (“Survivor: China”) going home with two idols in his pocket, Jay Starrett (“Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X”) playing a fake idol at tribal council, Eliza Orlins (“Survivor: Micronesia”) unwrapping what she thought was an idol only to discover that “it’s a f***ing stick,” and Mike Zahalsky (“Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers”) throwing a piece of Lauren Rimmer‘s idol into the fire.
“Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers” came to an end on Wednesday, December 20, with Marine Ben Driebergen being named the winner by a 5-2-1 vote over Chrissy Hofbeck and Ryan Ulrich.
