TCA Awards 2017 winners: Best prediction scores by our Editors and Users

Congratulations to our User tommyogorman99 for a near perfect score of 90% when predicting the 2017 TCA Awards winners on Saturday. He is actually tied with Jalal Haddad at that score but has a better point score of 2,628 by using the 500 super bets wisely. Both of those Users are just ahead of nine others with 80% accuracy.

Almost 300 people worldwide predicted these nominees in 10 categories for the Beverly Hills ceremony held by the Television Critics Association. Our top scorer only missed once — New Program, where he picked “Stranger Things” over actual winner “This Is Us.” That means he got some difficult categories correct, including “The Handmaid’s Tale” for Program of the Year and Drama Series, “Atlanta” for Comedy Series, Carrie Coon (“Fargo” and “The Leftovers”) for Drama Individual, and Donald Glover (“Atlanta”) for Comedy Individual.

You can see how your score compares to all others in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant’s predictions. to see your own scores, go to the User menu in the top right corner of every page of Gold Derby when you’re signed in to the site. Use the drop down menu to go to “View Profile,” then look for the links to your “Award Show Scores.” Gold Derby must evaluate each potential winner’s eligibility as per our contest rules. If eligible, the first-place finisher gets a $100 Amazon gift card.

For Gold Derby’s Editors, Daniel Montgomery is the best with 70% correct. I am next with 60%, and then Paul Sheehan with 50% and Marcus Dixon with 30%. See Editors’ leaderboard.
