We finally found out who Nick Viall chose to give the final rose to on season 21 of “The Bachelor.” On Monday’s finale, we learnt which of the two women left in the competition — Raven Gates, a 25-year-old fashion boutique owner from Hoxie, AR; and Vanessa Grimaldi, a 29-year-old special education teacher from Montreal, Quebec — stole his heart.
Viall understood all too well the pain felt by the woman he did not pick as he first came to fame as a spurned suitor on season 10 of “The Bachelorette” back in 2014. Andi Dorfman turned down his proposal of marriage. Ever resilient, he returned the following year and again made it to the final but Kaitlyn Bristowe went with Shawn Booth instead. His next stop was “Bachelor in Paradise” before he was chosen to be the season 21 bachelor.
On the March 13 finale of “The Bachelor,” the 36-year-old software sales executive from Milwaukee who now lives in Chicago proposed to Vanessa and she accepted. However, before they can start planning the wedding, Viall is committed to the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.”
