‘The Voice’ blind audition: Autumn Turner performs fun disco classic ‘Last Dance’ [WATCH]

Who was the best artist on Tuesday’s second episode of “The Voice” for this brand new season? Our writer John Benutty discusses the six artists with his power rankings for these blind auditions. He was very impressed by Autumn Turner, a 25-year-old New Jersey native who performed the Donna Summer fun 70s hit “Last Dance.” He says: “Turner opened up the show with a soulful and heartfelt rendition of a disco classic. While she didn’t bring anything new to the song, she held her own and handled it well. Adam Levine was the first to turn around, just a few lines into Turner’s performance, but in the end it was the only four-chair turn of the night. Adam, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were threatened that Alicia Keys turned, too, and rightfully so because that’s the team Turner joined.”

For one of the top contestants of Season 12, here is her official NBC bio: “Autumn was raised by a single mother with help from her mother’s friend and godfather – her big inspiration – before he passed away four years ago. She grew up singing in church and choir, even joining a local girl group called Bloom. At age three, Autumn enrolled in ice-skating, where she competed until she was 13 and eventually turned to coaching at 16. Autumn currently works as an English teacher at a local private school.”
