‘The Voice’ blind auditions: Miley Cyrus falls out of chair when Ashland Craft (‘You Are My Sunshine’) picks her [WATCH]

On Tuesday night’s episode of “The Voice” Season 13, Miley Cyrus fell out of her chair in shock when aspiring country singer Ashland Craft chose her over rival coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Cyrus felt an immediate bond with Craft because Craft’s audition song, “You Are My Sunshine,” is a tune that Cyrus covers on her own tour. Watch Craft’s “The Voice” blind audition recap video above.

The coaches’ battle for Craft was one of the most dramatic so far of this Fall 2017 cycle, with Jennifer Hudson sitting out while the other three locked heads. With Levine being the rocker and Shelton being the country star, Cyrus played the middle of the field, telling Craft, “If you want to take a little bit of both, for once, I’m not the craziest decision.”

Even as Craft’s family was rooting for her to choose Team Blake, Craft made the smart decision to join up with Team Miley. This is only Cyrus’ second season as a coach on NBC’s long-running reality TV show. Will Craft help Cyrus enter the winner’s circle at the end of Season 13? Sound off down in the comments section.

Craft is 21 years old and currently resides in Piedmont, South Carolina. Here is her official NBC bio: “Ashland comes from a small town where there aren’t a lot of musical opportunities. Her father has been a mechanic his whole life and has always believed in Ashland’s dream of being a musician. He even built her a music studio in the back of his garage in order to help her reach her goals, which has definitely helped her develop as an artist. Currently, Ashland has a steady gig at a local honky-tonk, Wendell’s Dippin Branch, where she is the lead singer of the house band. Though she loves her job, Ashland is hoping The Voice can help her prove that it’s possible to make it no matter where you’re from.”
