On Tuesday, Chris Blue won season 12 of “The Voice” over frontrunner Lauren Duski in the closest vote in the history of the show. Duski, who was mentored by Blake Shelton, had done well on Monday’s final and had scored two songs in the iTunes top 10. She pulled off a one-two punch as the original single “Deja Vu” came in at #1 while her cover of the Garth Brooks signature tune “The Dance” was in second place.
As part of the promotional push for the final four, Duski made a video version of “Deja Vu,” which you can watch above. She was the only one of the four to have co-written her original song; she worked with Daniel Doron Henig and Cody Tarpley on this power ballad that chronicles the aftermath of a breakup.
