‘The Voice’ playoff 2 recap: Team Adam Levine artists compete to be in Top 12

The second of the three playoff rounds on season 13 of “The Voice” aired Nov. 14 on NBC. By the end of the evening, Adam Levine had cut his team in half. Heading into the playoff, he had six artists on his team: four that won in match-ups on the knockout rounds, one that he stole from a rival coach, and one comeback artist that he brought back for another chance. Scroll down to see the songs each sung and the results.

Levine has been with “The Voice” from the start and has won three of the previous 12 seasons:  Javier Colon (Season 1), Tessanne Chin (Season 5) and Jordan Smith (Season 9). He is pinning his hopes for a fourth win on Addison AgenAdam Cunningham and Jon Mero.

This playoff episode of “The Voice,” as well as the ones on Nov. 13 featuring the 12 artists mentored by Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton and on Nov. 15 featuring Team Miley Cyrus, were taped at the end of the summer. That is a departure from the format used for the past six seasons of “The Voice” where America voted in two live playoff episodes.
