We’ve been live blogging every episode of this season, including all the knockout rounds on Monday, October 30, Monday, November 6 , and Tuesday, November 7. Our contributing writer Denton Davidson posted the following in his live blog about the first playoff round on Monday, November 13: “Despite losing her knockout, Chloe was really the breakout star of that round. Her low, warm tone is reminiscent of her former coach, Miley. I love how wrapped up she gets in the music, you can tell she feels every word of it. This performance seemed a bit slow and repetitive and could have had a better climax, but her stage presence made up for it.”

Here’s the official NBC bio for the 23-year-old from Nashville: “Miley Cyrus was one of Chloe’s musical inspirations growing up. She has always wanted to be a singer but after graduation, she decided to go to college to be an English teacher. Soon after, she realized that wasn’t for her, so she quit school and started playing in a blues band. Her decision to pursue music wasn’t exactly what her parents hoped for, as they have always been concerned that the music industry can be unpredictable. While they always want what’s best for Chloe, they are still supportive of her singing. ‘The Voice’ is Chloe’s chance to make her parents proud and get validation of her musical talent.”
