‘The Voice’ poll: Is it time for coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton to step down?

Season 14 of “The Voice” is set to premiere in February 2018 with veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton acting as bookends on the coaching panel once again. (Get more Season 14 details.) The two chairs between Adam and Blake have been rotating since Season 4, but this bromantic duo has refused to give up their seats. Considering they are the only coaches to compete in every season, it is no surprise that Blake has won the most championships with six, followed by Adam with three. But is it finally time for these two to take a break? Or would “The Voice” hit the ultimate sour note without them? Vote in our poll below.

For the first three seasons Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green held down the center chairs before both decided to take a hiatus. Usher and Shakira joined the panel for Season 4 and Season 6, with Christina coming back for Seasons 5, 8 and 10 and CeeLo returning only once more for Season 5. Other coaches to rotate through were Gwen Stefani (Seasons 7, 9 and 12), Pharrell Williams (Seasons 7-10), Miley Cyrus (Seasons 11 and 13), Alicia Keys (Seasons 11, 12 and 14), Jennifer Hudson (Season 13) and Kelly Clarkson (Season 14).

In his 13 seasons as a coach, Blake has mentored the winning contestant nearly 50 percent of the time. His six title-holders were Jermaine Paul (Season 2), Cassadee Pope (Season 3), Danielle Bradbery (Season 4), Craig Wayne Boyd (Season 7), Sundance Head (Season 11) and Chloe Kohanski (Season 13). Adam’s three wins have come more sporadically after he coached the series’ first champion, Javier Colon (Season 1) followed by Tessanne Chin (Season 5) and Jordan Smith (Season 9).

Could “The Voice” survive without Adam and Blake? Would the series benefit from even more fresh faces on the coaching panel? Or is this rivalry the ultimate staple in the show’s success? Vote right now.
