JChosen is your favorite singer to win Season 12 of “The Voice” for coach Gwen Stefani. He has leading support of 37% over rival Johnny Gates with 28% of your votes from our recent poll about which singer from Team Gwen would be champion for this spring season.
Next up in our poll results are Stephanie Rice (18%), Troy Ramey (7%), Aaliyah Rose (4%), Kenny P (2%), Brandon Royal (2%), Savannah Leighton (1%), and Sammie Zonana (1%). Receiving no votes are Caroline Sky, Davina Leone, and Jozy Bernadette. Read about all dozen artists with analysis from our writer Denton Davidson.
For our Team Gwen power rankings, the top spot is held by Gates followed by JChosen. Regarding the 29-year-old from Georgia, Davidson says, “This R&B singer has an old-school vibe that may make him seem too bland to win, but he may be just what viewers gravitate to. In a season where he will be competing with more hip artists, JChosen will be the one to deliver a big ballad with pure, soulful perfection. Sometimes less is more, and I think he will surprise people.”
According to his NBC bio: “JChosen has always loved music, but his large stature made his main focus basketball. While in college, he was plagued with multiple injuries, which ended his basketball career. He later met a music producer who told him to try an open mic night, and he’s been hooked on music ever since. He gigs throughout Atlanta and makes money as a special needs teacher’s assistant. He recently became a father but finds it difficult to see his son, as he lives three hours from his child’s mother.”
