‘The Voice’ power rankings: Which Team Gwen Stefani singer will win Season 12?

Over the past few weeks of blind auditions on ‘The Voice,” coach Gwen Stefani has proven to be no slouch in her show return. She has been winning over multiple contestants that received chair turns from her rivals Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys, and Adam Levine. Her tenacity has paid off, giving her the most diverse team in the competition this season along with multiple threats to win as the battle rounds begin Monday night.

My power rankings and analysis for all 12 members of Team Gwen are below. Take our poll and tell us who you think has the best chance to be the latest winner. Tour our new photo gallery above to see more details about all dozen singers. Click here for our analysis of Team Adam Levine, Team Alicia Keys, and Team Blake Shelton.

Photo Gallery: ‘The Voice’ past winners for seasons 1-11

1. Johnny Gates – “Maggie May” (Age: 31, Providence, RI)
This pop-rocker has years of experience on the road and it is evident when he performs. This long-haired, leather-toting heartthrob has the full package and oozes charisma on stage. His voice is unique enough to make him memorable and holds enough range to allow him to make versatile song choices. Look out for this rocker to earn Gwen her first win on “The Voice.”

2. JChosen – “Sexual Healing” (Age: 29; Albany, GA)
This R&B singer has an old-school vibe that may make him seem “too bland” to win, but he may be just what viewers gravitate to. In a season where he will be competing with more “hip” artists, JChosen will be the one to deliver a big ballad with pure, soulful perfection. Sometimes less is more, and I think he will surprise people.

3. Stephanie Rice – “Piece by Piece” (Age: 27; Texarkana, TX)
Although she didn’t blow anyone away with her blind audition, I think we’ve only begun to see the potential of Rice. What she does better than other contestants is inject her entire soul into her performance. With Melissa Etheridge-type vocals, Rice powers her way through emotions with a husky tone that is perfect for her pop-rock sensibilities.

4. Troy Ramey – “Wild World” (Age: 32; Sea Cliff, NY)
In an ordinary season Ramey could easily go unnoticed, but with the lack of traditional rock vocalists this time around, he has an advantage. He earned a four-chair turn during his blind audition which clearly shows he has the support of the coaches. If he can come out of his shell on stage as a performer, he could go far in the competition.

5. Savannah Leighton – “Unconditionally” (Age: 16; Spring Garden, AL)
Gwen has talked all season about wanting to mentor a young girl, meaning it is almost certain she will take at least one as far as she can. Although there are several on Team Gwen, my prediction is Leighton will be the beneficiary of gaining a big sister in Gwen. Although her blind audition wasn’t perfect, she showed poise and vocal clarity for such a young singer.

6. Kenny P – “Hello, It’s Me” (Age: 30; Cleveland, OH)
Kenny P is a charismatic performer with a solid voice. His twisted mustache and tattoos, mixed with his clear, soulful voice make him interesting to watch on stage. I know he is up against JChosen in the battle round, and I can’t imagine Gwen choosing him in that battle. But don’t be surprised if Kenny P ends up stolen by another coach in the next round.

7. Sammie Zonana – “Dangerous Woman” (Age: 24; Austin, TX)
I loved Zonana’s gritty rendition of an Ariana Grande song, but I’m not sure the coaches appreciate her style as much as I do. Battling Gates in the next round is a tall order and an artist like Rice on her team doesn’t help either. Due to other artists overshadowing Zonana’s style, I think she may have an untimely exit.

8. Caroline Sky – “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” (Age: 16; San Anselmo, CA)
With three teenagers on Team Gwen, I think only one will be singled out to move forward as the young girl Gwen hopes to mentor. Sky’s blind audition was soft and sweet, but it wasn’t exactly bursting with star quality. It is going to be an uphill battle for Sky moving forward.

9. Brandon Royal – “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” (Age: 31; Virgin Islands)
Royal gave a fun blind audition, but he happens to be part of a season that has the most high quality field of male R&B singers I can remember. There is too much competition for him starting with JChosen, who is on Team Gwen.

10. Jozy Bernadette – “American Woman” (Age: 25; Grand Forks, ND)
She didn’t make the best song choice for her blind audition, but she clearly has a good voice. I’m wondering if a better song would send her flying up the ranks. At this point we haven’t seen enough of Jozy to understand what type of singer she wants to be, but she may surprise us.

11. Aaliyah Rose – “Rise Up” (Age: 14; Provo, UT)
This adorable teenager is full of energy and already has her own sense of style, but may need to mature a couple of years before she is ready for the big stage. Her blind audition was good, but shaky. My guess is she won’t be able to make the progress necessary to advance beyond the battle round.

12. Davina Leone – “Cheap Thrills”
Unfortunately we were not even able to see Leone’s blind audition performance so it is tough to gauge her abilities as a singer. Generally artists who are edited out of the episodes don’t fare well in the competition, so by default I have to rank her last.
