On Tuesday’s edition of “The Voice,” the bottom two vote getters among the Top 11 artists were Mark Isaiah from Team Adam Levine and Stephanie Rice of Team Alicia Keys. Each had to sing one more song to try and win votes cast by viewers via Twitter.
Rice was up first and tackled the “Issues,” the recent debut single by singer/songwriter Julia Michaels. While Rice did a good job, the song is not one that inspires passion in either the performer or the audience.
Isaiah, who was in the bottom two last week as well, did himself proud with his rendition of “7 Years,” the 2016 Grammy-nominated track by Danish band Lukas Graham. He connected with the lyrics and the viewers and won the Instant Save.
Those watching the show live in the Eastern and Central time zones knew when to vote via Twitter. Fans of either artist in the rest of the country had to rely on social media if they wanted to weigh in with their pick, albeit without having seen the performances.
Do you think that Isaiah deserved the Instant Save more than Rice? After watching the two performances, vote in our poll below and sound off in the comments section.
