Two artists will be eliminated on Tuesday’s results show for “The Voice.” That move by the voting public will knock the competitors down from a Top 10 to a Top 8 going into the Season 13 next-to-last week on December 11. Who do you think will be the two singers going home this time around?
Team Adam Levine only has two contenders remaining. Team Miley Cyrus also just has two artists competing. Teams Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson are full with three singers each, but that could certainly change quickly on Tuesday.

8:00 p.m. – To kick off the show, we start off with a performance from Portugal. The Man with their song “Feel It Still.” Afterward, we’ll learn the names of the seven artists that are for sure safe and will advance to next week, leaving us with a bottom three that will all sing for one Instant Save to grab the 8th spot.
8:04 p.m. – One of the great things about “The Voice” is that the coaches build relationships with their artists and the show takes the time to let us see some of that connecting. Tonight we see the artists ask their coaches about their careers and for advice about how to navigate the road ahead of them. I love the touching moments like this!
8:07 p.m. – The top 10 comes on to the stage to hear the first set of results. Brooke Simpson, one of the four artists to reach the iTunes top 10 this week, thanks Miley for the trust she’s put in her throughout the competition. Keisha Renee (she also reached the top 10) says the best advice she learned from Blake is to remain true to who you are. After those brief questions from Carson, we learn that America’s votes saved both Brooke (Team Miley) and Addison Agen (Team Adam)! Addison was the highest charter on iTunes this week.
8:13 p.m. – Before more results for the remaining eight, Carson asks Shi’Ann Jones how Jennifer has asked her blossom. She says Jennifer she’s helped her come out of her shell. Red Marlow is asked what he’d like to say to the people back home and he thanks them for taking time out of their days to support him on the show and with votes. The next two artists that are safe and advance to the Top 8 are: Keisha (Team Blake) and Noah Mac (Team Jennifer)! That means each of the coaches will have at least one artist in next week’s semifinals.
8:21 p.m. – Yay! An update on last season’s winner, Chris Blue! He says the day after he won last year he signed a record deal with Alicia Keys, later got married to his fiancé and is selling out concerts across the country! I loved Chris so much last year and can’t wait to hear his music when it comes out.
8:23 p.m. – With the remaining six on stage, Carson asks Davon Fleming what the moment he had last night with his performance meant and he said it’s been amazing to have such established artists like the coaches be so supportive of his work. Chloe is asked how she sees herself as an artist and she says she’s not one to think too far ahead, but she wants to keep everything brand new and special. The next two artists saved by the vote are: Chloe (Team Blake) and Adam Cunningham (Team Adam)! Wow. The crowd and Carson went wild. A shocker after Adam had to sing for the Instant Save for the first two weeks of the lives!!
8:31 p.m. – Back with her new song “Worth It,” Danielle Bradbery takes the stage for a performance. It’s a gorgeous midtempo ballad and she’s completely slaying it. I’m not sure how this girl is not a mega star already.
8:35 p.m. – The final four come on stage. Ashland Craft says she wants to show America her softer side if she sticks around to next week. The finale artist safe and advancing to the top 8 is: Red (Team Blake)! Blake gets all three of his artists in the semifinals. That leaves Ashland, Davon and Shi’Ann to perform for the Instant Save. That’s up next after the commercials.
8:41 p.m. – First to sing is Ashland with “Tonight I Wanna Cry,” a Keith Urban ballad. This is the “softer side” moment she hoped to get to show and I have to admit she sounds so smooth and comfortable. She’s using the deeper parts of her register and there’s so much texture in her voice tonight. Could be hard for the other two to follow.
8:44 p.m. – Next up is Shi’Ann with the classic “At Last” by Etta James. This affords Shi’Ann a chance to go deep as well and of course she sounds great–a little shaky, but that’s understandable considering her age and the fact that it’s just her alone on stage. It continues to amaze me how someone that young can exude such confidence and stage presence. She’s a class act.
8:48 p.m. – Last is Davon with “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin. Only Davon could take this on and it’s making me wish he had performed it last night instead of in this position tonight! Whew he sounds so, so good. What he’s got here is the advantage of going third and having much bigger vocal moments and runs than either Ashland or Shi’Ann had. He’s killing it. This is going to be so close.
8:52 p.m. – Heading into the commercial we get our first glimpse of the live Instant Save vote that will save one artist and eliminate two. There are five minutes to vote and it’s looking like we have Davon with 51%, Ashland with 37% and Shi’Ann with 13%.
8:56 p.m. – With just a few minutes to vote, Ashland has narrowed Davon’s lead over her and could mount a last minute comeback!
8:59 p.m. – The artist that was instantly saved and will complete the Top 8 to perform in next week’s semis is Davon!
9:00 p.m. – So with Shi’Ann and Ashland’s eliminations, Miley will have one artist, Jennifer and Adam will have two artists and Blake will have three artists competing in Monday night’s performance show. Which of the remaining eight is your favorite and who do you think will win? Let us know in the comments!
