‘The Voice’ Top 8 Instant Save: Was the right artist rescued? [POLL]

On Tuesday’s edition of “The Voice,” the bottom two vote-getters among the Top 8 artists — Vanessa Ferguson and TSoul — were immediately eliminated. The next three lowest ranked — Brennley Brown, Jesse Larson and Hunter Plake — had to sing one more song to try and win votes cast by viewers via Twitter.

Brown, who is on Team Gwen Stefani, was up first and tackled “Warrior,” a cut from Demi Lovato’s Top 5 album “Demi” from 2013. While Brown did a good job, her nerves got the better of her at the beginning.

Brown’s teammate Plake was next and did himself proud with his rendition of “Love Runs Out,” a 2014 hit for OneRepublic. Plake connected with the lyrics and delivered them with passion and panache.

Larson, from Team Adam Levine, was the last of the three to sing and chose a change-of-pace ballad, the country classic “Tennessee Whiskey,” which was a top 5 hit for George Jones back in 1983 and was covered by Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMA Awards.

Those watching the show live in the Eastern and Central time zones knew when to vote via Twitter. Fans of these artists in the rest of the country had to rely on social media if they wanted to weigh in with their pick, albeit without having seen the performances.

Do you think that Larson deserved the Instant Save more than Brown or Plake? After watching the three performances, vote in our poll below and sound off in the comments section.
