Tony Awards tap Oscar and Emmy winners as presenters: Sally Field, Whoopi, Glenn Close …

The Tonys have tapped EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg, who hosted these awards in 2008, to present a prize at this Sunday’s ceremony. Also taking to the stage of Radio City Music Hall will be Oscar and Emmy winner Sally Field, who is a Tony nominee this year for her acclaimed performance in “The Glass Menagerie.”

Among the Emmy winners who will hand out these top theater honors are Glenn Close, Allison Janney, John Lithgow and Sarah Paulson. And past Tony champs returning include Cynthia Erivo, Sutton Foster, Patina Miller, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Lea Salonga and Tommy Tune.

Also slated to appear are Scott Bakula, Sara Bareilles, Rachel Bloom, Brian d’Arcy James, Jonathan Groff, Mark Hamill, Christopher Jackson, Nick Kroll, John Legend, John Mulaney, David Oyelowo, Chazz Palminteri and Tom Sturridge.

They join the previously announced Orlando Bloom, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Josh Gad, Josh Groban, Taraji P. Henson, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Anna Kendrick, Bette Midler, Ben Platt and Olivia Wilde.

Kevin Spacey, who is used to accepting awards, with two Oscars, four SAG Awards, a Golden Globe and a Tony crowding his mantle will host the three-hour ceremony that will air live on CBS.
