‘World of Dance’ performance of the week: Les Twins got the high score for this remarkable routine [WATCH]

On Tuesday, July 25, “World of Dance” continued to put its contestants through the ringer to find out who would make The Cut, and the week’s top performers turned out to be the French duo Les Twins, who got the highest judges’ score of the night in the Upper Division (93.5) for their hip-hop routine to “Never Know” by 6lack. Did they deserve those high marks? Watch their full performance above and decide for yourself.

“This Cut round is brutal,” said Jennifer Lopez about this stage of the competition, which narrows the field to two finalists in each division. Last week Diana Pombo and Eva Igo made the division finals for the Junior Division, and this week Les Twins stepped up to the plate with a routine that guest judge Misty Copeland said “blew me away” despite her already sky-high expectations for the duo. “It was a full-bodied soul performance,” added the groundbreaking ballerina.

Said regular judge Ne-Yo, “Your reputation precedes you. We know who you are, but you’re gonna work for it, and so far you’ve been working your asses off.” Derek Hough noted that they were “holding back” during rehearsals, so they took him by surprise with difficult heel twists and back bends. And Lopez said, “One of the things I noticed about you this time: you guys love performing. And it shows so much. It’s the love that you have for it — maybe that’s the ‘It’ thing that everyone’s always talking about.”

That performance earned Les Twins a spot in the Upper Division finals along with Keone & Mari. What did you think of their routine? Did the judges get it right? Comment below, and discuss this and more with your fellow reality TV fans in our forums.
