We’ve generated these racetrack odds by polling hundreds of Gold Derby users for their forecasts. That includes predictions from Gold Derby’s Editors who cover awards year-round, the Top 24 Users who had the best predictions at last year ACM Awards and the All-Star Top 24 who had the best predictions when you combine the last two years’ ACM results. And of course there are our everyday Users who make up our largest bloc of predictors, and usually one of them will put all the rest of our predictions to shame.

Three winners were already announced for the ACMs in categories celebrating new artists, and all of them went to our predicted front-runners, which may bode well for the rest of our forecasts this year. Lauren Alaina was named New Female Vocalist of the Year. Brett Young won New Male Vocalist of the Year. And Midland took the prize for New Duo or Group of the Year. Young has no other nominations, but Alaina is also up for Vocal Event for “What Ifs” with New Male Vocalist nominee Kane Brown, while Midland is in the running for Vocal Group of the Year and Single Record of the Year (“Drinkin’ Problem”).

But none of those newcomers are up for the top prize: Entertainer of the Year, which appears to be as close as ever. Two-time defending champ Jason Aldean faces two-time winner Luke Bryan, six-time champ Garth Brooks, eight-time nominee Keith Urban, and first-time nominee Chris Stapleton, who happens to have the most ACM nominations this year with eight. Find out below who has the edge. And if you think you know better than the collective wisdom of Gold Derby users there’s still time to make or update your predictions right here.
