2018 Oscars calendar updated: Final Academy Awards voting begins Feb. 20, ends Feb. 27

Final voting for the winners of the 90th annual Academy Awards begins on Feb. 20. Eligible members of the academy will be able to cast their ballots in the 24 competitive categories either online or (for the last time) by paper ballot. They have eight days to vote for their first and only choice in all the races save Best Picture (where they are asked to rank the nine nominees). The deadline for deciding is 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET on Feb. 27.

Three guilds (costume designers, makeup artists & hair stylists, sound mixers) will hold their awards ceremonies during the voting period for the Oscars. The Academy Awards will air live on ABC on March 4 and be hosted for the second year running by Jimmy Kimmel.

We’ve already hear from the four major guilds. The actors and producers revealed their choices for the best of the year before the Academy Awards nominations were announced on Jan. 23. On Feb. 3, the directors had their turn in the spotlight while the writers revealed their winners on Feb. 11.
