2018 SAG Awards film predictions: Complete odds in all 6 categories

The 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards will be handed out on Sunday night, January 21, during a telecast hosted by Kristen Bell, and we’re currently predicting all six categories for motion pictures. Scroll down for the complete list of contenders ranked in order of their racetrack odds with the projected winners highlighted in gold. Do you think we’re on the right track?

Our odds are based on the combined predictions of more than 2,000 users who have made their picks at Gold Derby as of this writing. That includes Expert film journalists we’ve polled from top media outlets, Editors who cover awards year-round for Gold Derby, the Top 24 Users who got the highest scores predicting last year’s SAG Award winners, the All-Star Top 24 who got the highest scores when you combine the last two years’ predictions, and the thousands of everyday Users who make up our largest predictions bloc, from which usually emerges the smartest of them all.

The awards themselves are decided by the unified SAG-AFTRA guild, which represents more than 100,000 actors, radio and TV personalities, and other media professionals. That makes it the biggest major awards group in the run-up to the Oscars, and their choices for the best performances of the year line up with the Oscar winners more often than not. But the SAG Award for the best ensemble cast of the year doesn’t correlate as strongly to the Best Picture Oscar since these voters are honoring collective performances and not other aspects of production. So only 11 out of the 22 SAG winners have gone on to claim the top prize from the motion picture academy.

But what do you think? Check out our predictions below. And there’s still time to make or update your own predictions here before Sunday’s event.
