Michael J. Woodard was robbed of a place in the ‘American Idol’ final, say 60% of viewers

Of the two “American Idol” contestants eliminated on Sunday May 13, Michael J. Woodard was the one who will be missed most according to viewers. He racked up a whopping 60% of the vote in our poll compared to just 40% for Cade Foehner. If you haven’t cast your ballot yet be sure to do so at the bottom of this post.

Both men numbered among the Top 5, with each of them singing a selection from the songbook of season 4 “Idol” winner Carrie Underwood and another in honor of Mother’s Day. In a first for the franchise, these final episodes are airing live nationwide. America got to vote for their favorites in real-time, with the results revealed by host Ryan Seacrest at the end of the episode.

The Top 3 finalists — Gabby Barrett Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Maddie Poppe — will sing again live in two more coast-to-coast broadcasts beginning May 20. (Who will win season 16?)
