Close call! Britton Buchanan (‘The Voice’) narrowly escapes elimination, wins America’s instant save for ‘Dancing on My Own’ [WATCH]

Tuesday night on “The Voice,” rock singer Britton Buchanan from Team Alicia Keys narrowly escaped elimination after being forced to sing for America’s instant save along with Pryor Baird and Kaleb Lee. Britton picked Calum Scott‘s “Dancing on My Own” as his instant save song — a great choice as it earned enough live votes to send him through to the season finale, thereby eliminating both Pryor and Kaleb. Britton now joins Brynn Cartelli (Team Kelly Clarkson), and Kyla Jade and Spensha Baker (Team Blake Shelton) as the Final 4 artists on “The Voice” Season 14. “I know I don’t have much time. I just want to say you just gave me full body chills,” Alicia confessed after Britton’s performance of “Dancing on My Own.” “You are the real deal. There’s no act, there’s no fakin’, there’s nothing but you. America, make sure you vote Britton through. And my boy Adam wants to say –”

“– I want to say, the universe finally gave me a chance to help you,” announced Adam Levine, who was blocked from getting Britton on his team way black in the blind auditions. “I want everybody to save Britton right now because this dude deserves it.”

Britton’s other performances on “The Voice” so far have included “Trouble,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “New York State of Mind,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “Small Town,” “Perfect,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “The Rising.” How does “Dancing on My Own” stack up to Britton’s former songs? Let us know down in the comments section.

In his recap of “The Voice,” our live-blogger Denton Davidson noted, “He’s decided to perform a ballad version of this hit without his guitar. Will it pay off? I have to imagine Britton has a huge advantage at this point. He’s the youngest of the three and the most unique. It will be shocking if Britton goes home tonight.”
