The first-ever USA edition of “Celebrity Big Brother” premiered this week and has already thrown several twists into the game, including most notably the power to Recast the Head of Household. “American Pie” actress Shannon Elizabeth won the first HOH comp, but she was dethroned when “The Cosby Show” star Keshia Knight Pulliam earned the Recast power. Keshia nominated UFC mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell and Big Time Rush singer/actor James Maslow for eviction, but who was sent home first on Friday, February 9?

7:59 p.m. – “Previously, on ‘Big Brother’!” The first two episodes were full of viral moments, including reality TV villain Omarosa‘s confession that she wouldn’t vote for Donald Trump again. Tonight’s two-hour extravaganza should be doubly exciting, with a Veto challenge and ceremony, a live eviction and a Head of Household competition. Who needs the Winter Olympics when you have “Celebrity Big Brother”?
8:15 p.m. – After being put on the block, James and Chuck are both pissed and determined to win the veto. Keshia stated that Chuck is a big MMA fighter, but James is her target. Keshia is hashing things out with Chuck, saying if he hadn’t gone for the bag, he wouldn’t be on the block. But Chuck is convinced Shannon would have nominated him whether he reached for his bag or not. James has refused to talk to Keshia, solidifying him as her top target. Shannon is telling James to lay low, hoping he won’t gun for the veto so they can take him out. Out on the patio, Mark tells James he would use the veto on him if given the opportunity. Meanwhile, Omarosa sat down with Keshia to start a secret side alliance, #BGM, otherwise known as Black Girl Magic! Why not make history with an all black female finale?
8:20 p.m. – Time to draw players for the veto competition! Three chips were drawn from a bag to determine who would join the HOH and nominees in the veto competition. Keshia, James, Chuck, Shannon, Ariadna and Mark will be the six players to fight it out. Keshia chose Omarosa to host. Mark confessed to Keshia that if he won the veto, he would probably save James. These guys are clueless! Keshia immediately went to check in with Chuck and blow up Mark’s game. She told Chuck to fight like hell to win the veto.
8:30 p.m. – Julie dropped in on the houseguests to give them a few headlines from outside the house. She let the houseguests know Bruno Mars dominated the Grammy Awards, Blake Griffin was traded to the Detroit Pistons, Kylee Jenner’s newborn baby is named Stormy Webster, the US government shut down for the second time in two weeks and the Philadelphia Eagles won the Superbowl. It was fun to see their reactions to news from the outside world.
8:40 p.m. – It’s time for the veto competition! The houseguests put on their robes and headed to the backyard, which had been converted to a spa. Their goal is to spell the longest word with special crystals with letters on them. The crystals, of course, are hidden throughout the spa, which includes a fountain and various mud pits. Meanwhile, Brandi is getting drunk as she watches from the sideline.
8:45 p.m. – The competition is over and it’s time to see how everyone performing. Ariadna spelled “Waing.” Sorry girl! That is not a word. Mark spelled “some,” Keshia took the lead with “primed,” and Shannon absolutely slaughtered everyone with “responsibilities.” Woah! Is she an alien? James failed to spell a word at all and Chuck lost out with “spanned,” coming in second place. Shannon has won the Power of Veto! Ariadna and James will receive a punishment for being the worst.
8:55 p.m. – Well, it was foolish to believe an alliance of seven, formed on night one, would not begin to crumble. Keshia wants Shannon to pull Chuck off the block and put Mark up to send Mark a message. Ross advised against it, because there is no point to make Mark pissed off at Shannon for no reason. Shannon feels all the men are gunning for her, even though Keshia put them on the block. Shannon said if she pulls Chuck off the block, she wants an opportunity to make amends with him. That set Omarosa off, who thought Shannon was being selfish. Then Keshia said she just wanted the best woman to win, which alienated Ross. Then Shannon started crying! What is happening?
9:00 p.m. – Ross confessed to Brandi that he felt dismissed. Brandi is on his side. The two of them had a private conversation stating they wanted Omarosa out. Next, Ross complained to Marissa that he feels they will dispose of him as soon as the other four men are gone. Ross was successful in gaining sympathy from the “Hairspray” star and she burst into tears for not sticking up for Ross. Ross is determined to let these women underestimate him all the way to the finale. The wrath of Ross has come!
9:05 p.m. – Because they can’t spell, James and Ariadna are now forced to dress as babies for the next 48 hours. They also have to crawl on their hands and knees everywhere they go. Whenever they hear the sound of a crying baby, they will have to suck on their bottles, ha!
9:10 p.m. – Ross is in the kitchen telling Shannon not to use the veto. He believes Keshia and Omarosa are running the show and this makes Shannon paranoid. Why is Keshia fighting to keep Chuck in the house? And why does everyone want Shannon to get more blood on her hands? Shannon voiced her concerns to the women. Keshia and Omarosa are annoyed. Ross is not backing Shannon up in front of the other women and now she’s annoyed as well. Finally, Brandi has had it and exclaimed in the diary room that Omarosa is about to be “her bitch.” This alliance is cracking!
9:20 p.m. – Shannon pulls Omarosa outside to explain to her why she is hesitant to use the veto. Omarosa knows how to play a game of war, and her advice is “you don’t retreat, you re-load.” Omarosa confessed to Shannon that Keshia already talked to Chuck, which bothered Miss American Pie. Shannon is frustrated and begins crying. Omarosa is comforting her, but finds her actions “unhinged” and questions if she can go the distance. At the Veto Meeting, Shannon finally had to make her choice. She chose NOT to use the Power of Veto.
9:25 p.m. – Keshia thinks Shannon made the better move for herself, not for the alliance. That is such garbage! Keshia and Omarosa are playing too hard, too fast and are about to lose the best competitor in their alliance.
9:40 p.m. – Ross and Shannon are discussing their distrust for Omarosa and Keshia. They feel their alliance is already broken up and now they are tempted to flip the house and evict Chuck and make a deal with James. Could this work? Shannon and Ross pull aside Brandi, Marissa and Ariadna to pitch a plan to flip the vote and stick it to Keshia. Shannon thinks they’re getting played and need to take this opportunity right now. Will they? I hope so, I want drama!
9:50 p.m. – It is finally time for live eviction! Let’s see how the vote play out. Brandi, Ariadna, Ross, Meta, Marissa, Shannon, Mark . Omarosa was the lone vote to evict Jason. Ouch! A blindside is coming!
9:59 p.m. – By a vote of seven to one, Julie announced Chuck has been evicted. Keshia looks shocked! Omarosa didn’t react, but immediately gave him a task to deliver a note to her mother. Unlike other seasons, Chuck will become the first jury member, but also get to watch the entire season at home.
