‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spoiler: Did the Round 3 Power of Veto ceremony change the nominees for eviction on Feb. 16?

At the end of the Feb. 14 episode of “Celebrity Big Brother,” the third Head of Household, beauty queen Ariadna Gutierrez decided on the two nominees for eviction on Friday’s live vote overseen by host Julie Chen. She went with Shannon Elizabeth, who had been the first HoH, and singer James Maslow, who had been up for elimination in the first vote. He had outmaneuvered UFC mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell. However, in the past 24 hours, the live feeds have revealed a big change in the game. We now know who won the Round 3 Power of Veto competition and what effect, if any, this had on the nominations for eviction. Spoilers ahead.

Elizabeth, Guiterrez and Maslow were three of the players in the Black Box challenge. They were joined by three of other remaining nine houseguests: “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Granville, TV personality Ross Mathews, who was the second HoH, and “The Apprentice” alumni Omarosa. Maslow won this competition and that upended the strategy of Mathews and his three allies — Granville, Guitterez and actress Marissa Janet Winokur.

Not surprisingly, at the Power of Veto ceremony, he swapped himself out with one of the other men — singer Mark McGrath — who will now face Elizabeth in the live vote. Maslow left NBA all-star Metta World Peace sitting on the bench. Are we (and he) underestimating this one-time LA Laker great?

Maslow is proving to be an adept player and that has Mathew and company worried. They expect their original target, Elizabeth, to get the boot on Friday and are planning their next move. Should they try and take out Maslow or move against Omarosa, the one-time player on “The Apprentice,” who has generated headlines for her revelations about the Trump White House.
